La rosa dei finalisti di quest’anno al prestigioso premio British Fantasy Awards include nomi molto noti come quelli di Neil Gaiman, George R.R. Martin e Clive Barker. La scelta è stata effettuata tra le migliori opere pubblicate lo scorso anno e per mezzo di votazione da parte dei membri della British Fantasy Society, associazione nata nel 1971 per promuovere la letteratura fantasy e horror.

I nomi dei vincitori verranno ufficializzati nel corso della Fantasycon, che si terrà dal 22 al 24 September 2006 a Nottingham, UK.
